Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in the Real Estate & Property industry, based in Oak Brook, Illinois. This role involves managing and processing payroll for employees across multiple states within the organization. The individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance with payroll regulations and will be actively involved in reporting, employee support, and system management.

Responsibilities:

• Processing multi-state payroll for all company employees using Dayforce.

• Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.

• Reviewing and verifying timekeeping records and resolving discrepancies.

• Staying updated on changes to payroll laws and regulations.

• Preparing and submitting payroll tax filings and reports in accordance with state and federal requirements.

• Assisting with audits and responding to inquiries from regulatory agencies.

• Addressing and resolving payroll-related inquiries from employees promptly.

• Providing support and guidance to employees on payroll policies and procedures.

• Conducting payroll orientations for new hires.

• Maintaining and updating payroll records in Dayforce.

• Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to payroll processing in Dayforce.

• Collaborating with the HR and IT departments to optimize payroll system functionality. Requirements • Proficient in 401k - RRSP administration

• Capable of managing accounting functions

• Experience in handling accounts payable (AP)

• Knowledge in managing accounts receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Dayforce software

• Ability to handle multi-state payroll

• Experience in benefits payroll

• Knowledge of full cycle payroll

• Ability to manage payroll effectively.
