Robert Half Attorney/Lawyer in Oak Brook, Illinois

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Attorney/Lawyer in Oak Brook, Illinois. The selected candidate will join our dynamic team and will be primarily focused on managing various aspects of immigration law. This role combines direct client interaction, case management, and legal proceedings.

Responsibilities

• Manage immigration cases from start to finish, ensuring all procedures are correctly followed.

• Take full responsibility for client cases, including federal immigration proceedings and state court criminal cases.

• Regularly conduct meetings with clients to understand their needs and recommend appropriate strategies.

• Oversee the work of paralegals and legal assistants, ensuring their tasks are correctly carried out.

• Provide full-service immigration services, including family immigration, employment immigration, and deportation defense.

• Actively participate in the decision-making process, providing expert advice and guidance on immigration law.

• Engage in regular communication with clients to keep them informed about their case status.

• Collaborate with other legal professionals to stay updated with the latest developments in immigration law.

• Utilize your skills in Immigration Law and Depositions to deliver the best possible outcome for clients.

• Ensure that all legal work is in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards. Requirements • Must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

• Admitted to the state bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status).

• Demonstrable proficiency in Immigration Law.

• Proven experience with depositions and litigation.

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

• Proficiency in legal research and writing.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Must maintain confidentiality and act with integrity.

• Demonstrable ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Strong problem-solving skills with a creative approach.

• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office and legal research platforms.
