News Corp Australia QA Automation Manager in NSW, Australia
What’s the role?
The role is required to lead a small team and refine and implement the Automation Strategy across several platform teams, expanding the automation footprint to a high level of maturity. The role will require senior stakeholder management, presenting and reporting.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Senior stakeholder management, presenting and reporting ROI & complex metrics
Manage automation resources to automate progression and regression test cases
Adopt and drive an Automation 1st Policy
Hiring Automation resources as required
Build a centralised Automation Community of Practice to support teams with automation maturity
Build out automation, hands on, applying best practices, ensuring roadmap milestones are met
Increase coverage with automation assets compared to manual assets
Set up Production automation and automated reporting to stakeholders
Refine the existing Automation framework. Define and implement roadmaps that deliver on expected automation outcomes for all teams
Recommend improvements such as open source tooling and resource requirements to provide cost benefits
Who are you?
Solid working knowledge of code branching and sequencing
Extensive experience working with Github and multiple automation tools such as Appium, Selenium, Playwright
Strong negotiation skills with a desire to innovate
Solid understanding of technology operations and strategy
Extensive experience leading teams both on and offshore, hiring automation resources as
Project Management experience is not required but beneficial
Excellent communication and collaboration skills and a strong ability to manage senior relationships
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Proactive, high attention to detail, with ability to meet aggressive deadlines with commitment to quality
Team player, willing to help where and when needed
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
