News Corp Australia Product Manager, Free News and Lifestyle in NSW, Australia

What’s the role?

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Product Manager to join the Audience, Product and Marketing team, in NewsCorp’s newly formed Free news and Lifestyle publishing division. Reporting to the General Manager of Product, this role requires a blend of strategic thinking, creative problem solving and operational execution. We’re on the hunt for someone who is passionate about delivering high quality storytelling and user experiences, while driving growth and engagement across some of Australia’s most recognised news and lifestyle brands.

What you’ll be doing

  • Strategic vision and roadmap development : help define and articulate the strategic product vision for our news and lifestyle digital properties. Develop, maintain and prioritise a comprehensive product roadmap that aligns with market trends, user needs, client outcomes and business impact.

  • Product Development and optimisation : collaborate with cross-functional teams including editorial, audience, delivery, engineering and marketing to deliver and grow highly engaging experiences. You’ll be data and audience led to inform product development and enhancement decisions.

  • Innovation and continuous improvement : stay current with emerging technologies and digital trends to identify new opportunities. You’ll be championing a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the product team, encouraging experimentation and creative problem-solving to drive product excellence.

Who are you?

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in product management

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Passion for building great product experiences to meet audience needs and solve business problems

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with a track record of successful product launches and management

  • Audience first mindset, curious nature and aptitude for innovation

  • Thrive in environments where you get to work autonomously and own outcomes

  • Proficiency in product management tools (Monday.com, JIRA) and analytics platforms (Adobe analytics)
