News Corp Australia Pricing and Insights Analyst in NSW, Australia

What’s the role?

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Pricing & Insights Analyst to join our Consumer division. In this role, you will be an integral part of the dynamic, highly motivated Consumer Team that supports the delivery of pricing initiatives across News Corp Australia.

The role:

  • Support the modeling, planning, preparation and monitoring of introductory offers in a multi-channel environment. Brief, review and test offer builds and price positioning on shopfronts.

  • Management of audience-led pricing strategy, including; developing use cases for testing different pricing and demand hypotheses based on a deep understanding of customer behavior, managing the process to target select audiences, reporting back to key stakeholders on findings and developing optimization recommendations.

  • Use a variety of statistical modelling methods to prepare insights that show the potential impact of various pricing strategies, including their effect on margins and costs and how they will impact profitability and sales volume.

  • Track customer behaviour to develop effective pricing strategies for products and offers.

  • Assess data from a variety of sources and use it to derive insights into pricing strategies and market trends. Develop complex pricing models that reflect margins for promotional and seasonal pricing based on competitor, market, and customer data.

  • Set up test plans and determine test parameters in collaboration with key stakeholders.

  • Report on and communicate the status and progress of use cases at regular intervals to stakeholders.

  • Management of the subscription price book, including working with other stakeholders to ensure all offers are correct and current in the right channels.

  • Support in other pricing functions including price elasticity analysis and consumer and competitor research.

  • Highly analytical with a deep understanding of statistical modelling, forecasting and pricing best practice.

  • The ability to identify, evaluate and develop customer value management strategies and promotional tactics that optimise customer and business outcomes for subscriptions and circulation.

  • Translate complex data into actionable strategies and techniques to drive sales and enhance marketing efforts

  • High attention to detail and accuracy, working within complex environments and data sets

  • Understand business needs, and transform those into tangible requirements for testing

  • Demonstrated ability to get things done in a rapidly changing environment

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills

  • Advanced Excel skills
