Description

The Senior Analyst of Financial Reporting will play a pivotal role in our client's financial reporting and compliance efforts, particularly in light of their recent IPO. This position requires a thorough understanding of US GAAP and IFRS, as well as expertise in accounting research and financial disclosures. The successful candidate will collaborate with finance and operations leaders across global operations, helping to build and enhance financial reporting processes that are essential to the company's growth and success.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct accounting and financial reporting research, documenting conclusions in detailed technical whitepapers.

  • Draft financial statement disclosures by applying disclosure guidance and analyzing examples from other companies’ filings.

  • Prepare key footnotes (e.g., financial statements, goodwill and intangibles, segments) for 10-K/10-Q filings, ensuring SOX compliance.

  • Compile and review the quarterly GAAP disclosure checklist.

  • Monitor new accounting literature to assess potential impacts on the company’s financial disclosures.

  • Proofread 10-K/10-Q/8-K drafts for grammatical accuracy, formatting consistency, and adherence to internal guidelines.

  • Prepare monthly roll-forwards of goodwill and intangibles, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop, revise, and maintain financial policies and controls, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of disclosures.

  • Serve as a liaison with internal and external auditors on matters related to technical accounting, internal controls, financial policies, and financial reporting.

  • Participate in or lead various Corporate Finance & Accounting projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency, timeliness, and accuracy of financial close processes.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES):

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.

  • CPA required.

  • 3 or more years of experience in public accounting and/or external financial reporting for a public company.

  • Experience in accounting and financial reporting research and interpretation.

  • Previous experience with Workiva is preferred.

  • Strong writing and grammatical skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to solve problems independently and utilize available resources effectively.
