Actively participate in the software engineering lifecycle for new products. Apply engineering principles to the specifications, architecture, design, coding, unit testing, and functional testing of new products. Engineer software products by following industry and automotive standards. Promote architectural and design re-use and recommend the use of third-party software where applicable. Provide guidelines and support for hardware component selection. Actively participate in testing existing products and providing hardware reviews. Hold the engineering team accountable for software project milestones. Position reports to the Software Engineering Manager. Occasional travel to customers and suppliers within the Detroit metropolitan area and occasionally internationally.
