Lab Analyst I (HPLC)

Kelly Science and Clinical is currently recruiting for a qualified, full-time, contract-to-hire Lab Analyst I in the Novi, Michigan area.

Responsibilities:

• Routine and complex sample preparation and analysis via HPLC

• Simple routine maintenance on instrumentation once trained

• Data review and interpretation with no assistance

• Data Entry

• QA investigations with no assistance

• Keeps abreast of current and new methods

• Statistical analyses on quality control samples to assure compliance

• Quality and quantity of work meets laboratory benchmarks

• Follows safety requirements including the appropriate use of safety glasses, gloves, and lab coats

• Adhere to company procedures and policies

• On-going participation in laboratory skills inventory

• Achieve turnaround times

• Multi-task and prioritize workload

Qualifications/Education/Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in a chemistry or science discipline with some applicable analytical experience.

• Ability to follow established protocols for analysis and safety.

• Comfortable working with/around concentrated acids and using required PPE.

• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Willingness to cross-train in other laboratory departments, as needed.

• Ability to maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.

_Familiarity with standard laboratory equipment preferred but not required, including but not limited to analytical balances, pipettes, chromatography (HPLC), chemical exhaust hoods, and laboratory ovens/furnaces. _

Pay : $18-21/hr

Hours: M-F, 8AM – 5PMEST - _Availability for overtime work on evenings and weekends to meet client workload demands when needed. _
