About the RoleThis position exists to successfully lead the production workflow from data collection though online fabrication and delivery of content to the organization’s websites and to perform basic and advance/complex processes and database content maintenance for jurisdictions. To aid and support internal and external customers by ensuring the quality and functionality of all products by effectively communicating and presenting problem resolutions, product information, project analysis and status reports in a professional manner.

RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Oversee and manage manual and automatic case collections. Identify broken collections and work with business partners to fix broken collections.

  • Oversees the workflows for delivery of Canada caselaw content; maintains editorial product quality, accuracy, timeliness, and cost management across a global caselaw portfolio

  • Correspond and coordinate directly with Canadian provincial and federal courts regarding case law collections.

  • Collaborates with commercial stakeholders to create new global caselaw content opportunities to drive the customer experience forward; liaises regularly with in-market teams to ensure content meets customer needs.

  • Executes on automation and drives adoption of global tools and systems delivery.

  • Determine and lead tasks and activities required for successful content delivery online. Plan, organize, schedule and coordinate those tasks and activities.

  • Perform tasks necessary for day-to-day operations. Provides oversight and direction to onsite and home-based team members on day-to-day production deliverables.

  • Partner with Operations, Content, Product and IT leads and other POCs to ensure implementation of a unified approach to operationalize and optimize the content and product delivery processes.

  • Provide input to capital, expense and supplier planning for the project, when requested.

  • Work with management to secure and maintain the necessary resources to complete objectives.

  • Monitor progress against the schedule and scope; initiate corrective action as necessary.

  • Provide regular status to management including risk assessments and recommendations for mitigating risks. Identify and escalate systemic problems that delay progress toward goals.

  • Track activities and problems in such a way that the project processes are continually improving.

  • Break through resistance and champion ideas for optimizing results with proactive leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior knowledge of Canadian provincial and federal case law and case-related content

  • French Language, reading and writing skills preferred

  • Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook)

  • Knowledge of AI Chatbots or LLMs (e.g., ChatGPT)

  • Understanding of LexisNexis editorial processes or other similar legal technology company or publisher

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • Ability to lead and direct small teams

  • Energy/enthusiasm/positive attitude

  • Views change positively & for the opportunities it creates

  • Ability to work independently

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Ability to understand and work in large, complex processes and systems

  • Experience in leading teams and projects

  • Familiarity with working with suppliers and maintaining effective supplier relations

  • Organizational awareness of core business goals and priorities for the Pleadings, Motions and Factum offering

  • Strong understanding and experience with maintaining and improving data collection and fabrication workflows, including the associated technologies and services.

  • Strong familiarity and working knowledge to navigate online product delivery platforms, specifically Lexis Advance Quicklaw and Lexis+

  • Ability to research and navigate the competitive landscape of the PMF product to better inform decisions
