Actalent Mechanical Engineer in Nottingham, Maryland

Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob Description

The Mechanical Engineer will support the business activities of the Business Unit(s) and complete assigned engineering tasks for R&D projects.

Hard Skills

  • Design systems using Systems/Mechanical Engineering approach

  • Cost-effective production techniques through design to cost and value engineering

  • Design and manufacturing of IP products

  • Direct, develop, and conduct functional and test procedures

  • Utilize SolidWorks database and update drawings

  • Control and management of Technical Data Packages using SolidWorks CAD, Microsoft Office, and ERP system inventory and manufacturing tools

  • Support Business Development Managers in capture management tasks, responding to RFQs, and preparing proposals

  • Communicate with customers and/or clients as needed

  • Assist in the coordination of various teams for development, testing, and evaluation of design

  • Support R&D activities

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Nottingham, Maryland.

Work Environment

Our client has a large, fairly new Manufacturing facility in Nottingham (White Marsh), MD. They build Blast Containment Vessels.
