Otis Library Business Manager in Norwich, Connecticut

**Business Manager - Otis Library

*Reports to: Executive Director *Deadline: Open Until Filled

*Schedule: 12 hours a week | Mondays and Wednesdays 9 AM - 3 PM *Salary: $30/hr

Responsibilities: [The Business Manager will support the mission of Otis Library by performing confidential and responsible administrative work in the financial operations of the Library. This includes, but is not limited to:]{lang="X-NONE"}**

  • Day -to-day banking activities of the Library, including but not limited to, petty cash, deposits, and credit card accounts
  • Maintaining all accounting records and financial statements of the Library; ensuring accuracy of all records and statements
  • Performing all activities necessary to process payroll and retirement , including maintaining time cards and related records, filing tax reports and voluntary deduction reports, and processing involuntary deductions, such as levies and garnishments
  • Analyzing fiscal and administrative policies and suggesting effective recommendations

Qualifications: The skills and knowledge required for this position generally would be acquired with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and three to five years in progressively responsible positions involving accounting or budgeting. A combination of other education and applicable experience may be considered.
