Description

We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join a team near the Norway, Maine area. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be tasked with handling account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliations and general ledger duties, among others.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct account reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.

• Perform balance sheet reconciliation to confirm all balances are accounted for and correctly posted.

• Manage general ledger tasks to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.

• Prepare and post journal entries to keep records updated.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to maintain financial data and create reports.

• Carry out month-end close procedures to ensure timely financial reporting.

• Work with Lawson software for financial management and reporting.

Requirements

• Comprehensive knowledge of General Ledger management

• Ability to accurately process Journal Entries

• Proficient with Microsoft Excel

• Experience in Month End Close procedures

• Familiarity with Lawson software

• Prior experience in a Senior Accountant role

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Solid understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
