Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a detail-oriented Attorney/Lawyer with an interest in Intellectual Property (IP) law. This position will be located in Norwalk, Connecticut, United States. As an Attorney/Lawyer, you will be expected to handle various responsibilities related to IP law, including case management, briefing, civil litigation, claim administration, complaint handling, and documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize legal software like 3M, Case Management Software, LexisNexis, and Management System to manage and organize cases

• Conduct briefing sessions to discuss case details and strategies

• Handle civil litigation cases, ensuring all legal procedures are correctly followed

• Administer claims, ensuring all paperwork is accurately completed and submitted on time

• Handle complaints professionally and efficiently, working towards a satisfactory resolution for all parties involved

• Create and maintain accurate documentation related to cases and legal procedures

• Stay updated on the latest developments and changes in Intellectual Property law

• Collaborate with other legal professionals to ensure the best outcomes for clients

• Use strong communication and negotiation skills to represent clients effectively

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in all legal proceedings. Requirements • The candidate must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

• Admission to the state bar where the job is located is required.

• Although no minimum years of experience is set, previous experience in a legal setting would be advantageous.

• Familiarity with various legal software including '3M', 'Case Management Software', 'Legal software', and 'LexisNexis' is necessary.

• Knowledge of 'Management System' is required for effective case handling and documentation.

• Proficiency in 'Briefing', 'Civil Litigation', 'Claim Administration', and 'Complaint Handling' is essential.

• The candidate should have the ability to prepare and review various legal documents.

• Experience in 'Intellectual Property' law will be highly valued.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

• The candidate should have excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically are essential.

• The candidate should have a high level of professionalism and adhere to legal and ethical standards.
