Honeywell Senior Advanced Application Engineer in Northford, Connecticut

As a Sr Advanced Application Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in providing advanced engineering support for various projects and initiatives. You will lead and manage a team of engineers, ensuring the successful execution of engineering support activities and the delivery of high-quality solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute project plans, ensuring that all engineering support requirements are met. You will work out of our Northford, CT location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will have a significant impact on the success of our engineering support operations. You will be responsible for managing a team of support specialists, providing guidance and support to resolve complex customer issues, and driving improvements in our support processes.

Honeywell Building Automation (BA) is a leading global provider of products, software, solutions, and technologies that enable building owners and occupants to ensure their facilities are safe, energy efficient, sustainable, and productive. BA products and services include advanced software applications for building control and optimization; sensors, switches, control systems, and instruments for energy management; access control; video surveillance; fire products; and installation, maintenance, and upgrades of systems. This position will mostly focus on Honeywell Hospitality building controls, while interacting with partner companies, system integrators and hotel engineering.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers to provide advanced engineering support for projects

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute project plans

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team in solving complex engineering problems

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes and efficiency

The annual base salary range for this position is $115,000 - $145,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.”

MUST HAVE

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in advanced engineering support or related roles

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics

  • Experience with Hospitality Energy Management Systems

  • Understanding of basic electrical wiring diagrams

  • Software Application Engineering experience, including system integrations

  • Good understanding of HVAC controls including PTAC, FCU, VRV/VRF and RTU

  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities

  • Ability to drive results and meet deadlines

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Passion for innovation and continuous learning

  • Experience with quality management systems and processes
