Brief Description
The Printing Operations Associate III is responsible for:
As sole shift operator, reviewing daily workload and performs tasks of varying complexity on various digital and bindery/finishing equipment based on fluctuating workload needs.
Working independently with minimal supervision.
Specific Duties
Primary duties and responsibilities of the Printing Operations Associate III:
Review unit’s workload and priorities to determine most appropriate self-assignment on hourly/daily basis.
Perform tasks of varying complexity on various digital equipment when workload warrants.
Perform tasks of varying complexity on various bindery equipment when workload warrants.
Perform tasks of varying complexity on various finishing equipment when workload warrants, e.g.:
cutting,
drilling,
comb-binding,
padding,
boxing, and
shrink-wrapping, etc.
Perform tasks of varying complexity on digital or offset prepress equipment when workload warrants.
Deliver print output as necessary.
Report workload status to appropriate staff at end of shift.
Assist operators on other shifts when workload warrants.
Train other operators in specific tasks as requested
Call for service when staffing and workload require.
Other duties as assigned.

Must maintain organized work habits.
Reliable sound judgment and level of independence necessary to determine course of action in frequent non-routine situations.
Professional:
Able to accurately evaluate production requirements based on current workload.
Able to multi-task while following detailed instructions and quality control procedures.

Education / Experience
Education:
High school graduate.
Experience:
Two to five years of hands-on experience in one more areas of print environment including digital, offset, and/or bindery/finishing required.
Related certifications:
N/A
Additional Criteria
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
This role is based out of the Northfield, IL headquarters and candidates must reside within a reasonable commute to the office.
