UL, LLC Associate Account Manager in Northbrook, Illinois

  • Supports Global Account Manager (GAM) in development of 3–5-year account strategy by providing insight into opportunities in their assigned region.

  • Supports GAM in relationship-building by identifying centers of influence within their assign region and facilitating introductions.

  • Within assigned regions buying centers, represents ULs relationship with Global accounts; identifies key decision makers.

  • Builds on customer relationships to ensure successful renewals and identify future sales opportunities.

  • Identifies opportunities of sales of core products / services to assigned region of Global tier customer accounts.

  • Supports GAMs on large, complex, integrated solutions (often multi-product and multi-national solutions).

  • Coordinates with local sellers (e.g., Sales Representatives) and technical sellers (e.g. Technical Inside Sales Representatives) as needed; partners sales of smaller deals or technically specialized products / services.

  • Leverages partnership with GAM to facilitate introductions as necessary, coordinates with Commercial Operations to drive sales plays within region.

  • Facilitates handoffs to customer success and fulfillment teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

  • Coordinates with all internal resources required to execute the strategic plan (e.g., commercial resources, fulfillment operations, etc.).

  • The target annual pay range for this position is $127,500 - $150,000K which includes a base salary of $85,000-100,000 and 100% on target performance. Members of the sales function are eligible to participate in the UL Solutions Sales Incentive Plan. The annual target incentive for this position is 50% of the base salary, paid quarterly, and is contingent upon performance.

  • 4+ years of related sales experience and/or demonstrated account management capability.

  • Bachelors' degree in business, engineering, or related field.

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), CRM software, and digital account planning tools.

  • Established sales leader with the ability to make sales of testing/inspection/certification services, software products, and advisory offerings.

  • Proven ability to sell both individually and with the assistance of supporting personnel.
