TEKsystems Digital Product Owner in Northbrook, Illinois

The Digital Product Managers - DPM (Product Owners) are responsible for translating the company’s strategy to execution.

• Each DPM directly interacts with a Scrum Team and is responsible for a specific domain of our platform.

• Each DPM is responsible for their Domain’s backlog

• A DPM is assigned an Initiative. An initiative can have multiple domains associated. The Initiative DPM is responsible to interact with each DPM for each corresponding domain and manage cross team dependencies to drive success at the initiative level

Our backlogs are defined and prioritized against our roadmap. We forecast a 6-months roadmap based on our company’s business goals and strategic direction, and we have a high level of predictability for the scope of the next 4 sprints across all scrum teams.

Besides having a robust business mindset, we are hyper sensible to the Subscriber (user persona) experience and Client (buyer persona) experience. We support different revenue channels and multiple business stakeholders with concurrent requirements.

Our operational principles are rooted on a Product mindset and executed on agile principles. Our continuous discovery and maturity processes are governed by real data, including user behavior.

Responsibilities

• Own an actionable backlog fed by business requirements and refined by the scrum team, with the purpose of defining, constructing, testing and delivering an integrated solution with our most important partner in the travel industry.

• What will the day-to-day work be for the contractor

• Elicit business requirements by having interactions with business stakeholders, compliance and security team members

• Own an actionable backlog with INVESTable User Stories

• Prioritize and sequence user stories execution on an iteration basis aligned with desired time-to-market requirements

• Manage dependencies and cross-team communication

• Radiate visibility of current state and next steps of initiatives

• Represent the business for the Scrum Team

• Participate in agile ceremonies and have an active role on them. Accentuating the leadership role in Backlog Refinement sessions

Must have Qualifications:

• Experience working as a PO in Microservices and event driven architecture environments

• CSPO or other foundational product knowledge

• Gherkins for acceptance criteria

• Experience with the INVEST framework

• User story writing

• Domain drive design knowledge

• Agile methodologies

• Prioritization techniques

• Product mindset / outcome-based / human centered design

Any preferred experiences/ skills

• Micro-front end architecture experience

• Federated identity management

• APIs

• DOMAIN/Industry experience : Identity Protection, PII security, Affiliate marketing , travel (booking, documentation)

Need to expand capabilities

Digital solutions, user experiences, friction points, and custom to working with products not projects

PO to Scrum Team is 1:1 relationship

Don't need to have a robust technical experience, but understand domain and event driven architecture

Combination of new feature adds/enhancements and new micro front end/widget creations/API endpoints for frontend to communicate with backend

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $95.00/hr.
