This permanent position is for a Controller who will work in the Hudson, Massachusetts region. In this role, it will be critical for you to plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff. In this role, it will be critical for you to effectively manage self and others within strict time constraints when providing client services, lead while also being a team player, generate innovative ideas, and challenge the status quo. How you will make an impact
Meet client expectations by reviewing deliverables of self and team to make sure they meet client satisfaction
Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis
Present executive committee and partners with monthly financial reports
Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure that firm-wide operation is efficient and effective
Produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash
Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts
Manage finance department operations, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
Evaluate, apply and refine policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
Comfortable in taking on tasks beyond formal job responsibilities
Support punctual cash collection by managing the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques
Support Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, with research, planning, and implementation, as requiredOur exclusive client has an immediate opening for a Financial Controller. The Controller opportunity is with an international manufacturer and will have responsibility for all accounting functions within their Massachusetts facility.
The ideal candidate will have previous Controllership experience within a manufacturing environment. The Controller will be hands on with the General Ledger, monthly close process, monthly reporting, cash flow, standard cost & inventory accounting and the annual budget process.
Previous experience with Payroll & HR is desired.

Adeptness in Multi-state Payroll
Demonstrated knowledge of financial auditing
Experience with Standard Cost Accounting
General familiarity with financial analysis
Financial reporting experience preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of MS Dynamics 365 Business Central
Deep understanding of Daily Cash Flow
Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why"
Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred
Ability to meet deadlines
Past work in technology, analytics and management experience highly valued
Strong attention to detail
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
