What to Expect:

Reporting into the Leader, Talent, you will lead the creation of training and facilitation solutions for Nestlé employees across the organization in Canada. The role requires a strong understanding of industry-leading practices that you will use to influence and integrate across different areas of the organization. You will be responsible for the full learning cycle from needs analysis and design, through to development and implementation.

A day in the life:

  • Design, build & maintain HR learning & development solutions including core learning materials & curriculum, identification of 70-20-10 activities and delivery of activities

  • Partner with managers, HR Business Partners and senior leaders to assess and analyze learning needs based on performance, talent planning and business priorities

  • Lead team sessions to take learning content deeper and guide groups to self-sustain and improve team effectiveness

  • Assess and audit the efficiency of all learning and development initiatives against predefined metrics

  • Participate in leadership discussions related to competency identification and solutions to close proficiency gaps

Role Requirements

  • Bilingualism in English and French language skills are a requirement, as this position requires collaboration with stakeholders across the Canadian market and/or worldwide.

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in Learning and Development with emphasis on leadership development, adult learning design and development across the organization with senior audiences.

  • Experienced L&D practitioner, with a strong track record of delivering high-impact learning initiatives in a corporate or professional services environment

  • Post-secondary education in a related field, with professional certification or equivalent experience in learning and development is a strong asset

  • Leadership development, assessment and coaching certifications with DISC, Clifton Strengths, 360 assessments and 5 behaviours of a team are ideal

  • Proven planning and project management skills, with the ability to oversee and coordinate multiple projects and shifting priorities under tight timelines and with various stakeholders.

  • Position requires up to 15% travel

Preferred Skills

  • Outstanding facilitation and course design skills utilizing Instructional System Design process

  • Proven ability to successfully deploy and implement multiple large-scale projects

  • Demonstrated ability to translate intricate concepts into simple process flow

  • Effective verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to express complex concepts in business terms

  • Ability to conceptualize creative solutions, document them, present and influence senior management
