This full-time, permanent opportunity requires an 18-month commitment to the rotational program, focusing on Brand Marketing and Product Commercialization. Develop your business acumen, leadership capabilities, and long-term success at Nestlé. Access continual support and learning opportunities throughout the program. Based in North York, the Marketing Specialist position reports to Line Managers in Marketing and Commercialization, providing the skills and knowledge for an Assistant Marketing Manager role at the program's end.

A day in the life:

As a Marketing Specialist, you will be assisting in the execution of marketing activities in line with brand plans. You will support the team on understanding brand performance and analyzing brand health metrics.

You will also:

  • Create action plans and identify timelines to successfully execute all tasks assigned by team/manager

  • Undertake required training and development to ensure successful completion of assignments

  • Analyze data and simplify data for visual storytelling and problem solve with issues.

  • Perform assignments (daily tasks or project based) in an efficient, effective, and timely manner

  • Contribute to the efforts of the team to deliver against team targets and initiatives

  • Support Youth Initiative Activities such as University Information Days, mentor/buddy to University student, intern, other associates

  • Apply project management tools and skills to ensure the on-time launch and flawless execution of I&R projects with low to medium complexity from idea to close (i.e. line extensions, innovations/renovations with minimal investment, fast adapts). Activities include:

  • Leading the communication of project scope, objectives, key success criteria and expectation

  • Building and managing the project schedule, defining the critical path, tracking activities to ensure functional team members are meeting agreed upon deadlines and approva

  • Preventive management of roadblocks and generation of project risk mitigation plan

  • Coordinating and facilitating project meetings including kick-off meetings, project team meetings, risk assessments, lessons learned, post launch reviews and additional meetings as required

  • Providing visibility and transparency to project status to cross functional team members, generating and communicating status reports, and escalating critical issues to Category Program Manager and Category Leadership Team as required

Role Requirements:

  • University degree with a Business major

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, problem solver.

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Strong written and verbal communication

  • Quick learner

  • Relevant Experience gained through work or extra-curricular
