Boehringer Ingelheim Professional Relations Manager (North-West England) in Bracknell Forest, United Kingdom

THE POSITION

The Professional Relations Manager (PRM, based in the North-West of England and Primarily out of Manchester) is an exciting new role and is responsible for engaging, coordinating, and developing regional external experts within the North-West ecosystem, including both clinical and non-clinical experts relevant to the Cardio-Renal-Metabolic (CRM) Franchise and related medical conditions. The PRM is responsible for executing an integrated regional plan focused on leveraging innovative CRM and Boehringer Ingelheim opportunities.

The PRM supports the National External Expert Lead (NEEL) in mobilizing these regional advocates nationally to drive increased sales and market share of existing brands, with a dotted reporting line to the NEEL.

The PRM integrates the expertise of external experts into comprehensive advocacy and multichannel strategies and tactics to align advocacy initiatives with their areas of expertise, leveraging regional insights to shape national campaign strategies and localize assets whilst tracking and measuring the impact of regional external experts' involvement in advocacy efforts.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Regional External Experts, profiling, segmentation & targeting:

  • Engage, coordinate, and develop regional external experts across the North-West ecosystem, including clinical and non-clinical experts relevant to the CRM Franchise and associated medical conditions.

  • Support the NEEL in mobilizing these advocates nationally to drive sales and increase market share of existing brands, aligning with ICP and CRM franchise goals.

External Experts advocacy strategy and development:

  • Define and coordinate the regional advocacy strategy, creating and executing an integrated regional plan focused on leveraging innovative CRM and Boehringer Ingelheim brand opportunities.

  • Identify and map key influencers across the North-West, understanding the competitive CRM landscape.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, advocacy groups, and other stakeholders to incorporate the expertise of external experts into comprehensive advocacy and multichannel strategies and tactics.

Planning and budget management:

  • Play a supportive role in brand planning and resource planning to help define the budget to be allocated to the EE mobilization and EE advocacy development.

REQUIREMENTS

  • The PRM is a field-based role in the North-West of England.

  • Pharmaceutical market dynamics, regulations, and a deep knowledge of the therapeutic areas in scope for the CRM Franchise.

  • Key Opinion Leaders engagement, business planning and launch preparedness in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Experience of working with clinical and non-clinical advocates across the NW region.

  • A sales or clinical background in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred to understand and collaborate effectively with the local team, ensuring successful mobilization and advocacy.

  • Leadership skills with high emotional intelligence, creativity, problem solving and ability to manage complexity.

  • Strong ability to influence without authority and to build strong, trusting personal relationships.

  • Can-do attitude and results orientation.

  • Degree level education, ABPI (UK) qualification is essential.
