Description

Robert Half is seeking out candidates in with outstanding customer service and coding skills for a Patient Access Specialist position with one of its Fortune 500 healthcare clients that is located in North Vernon, IN.

The Patient Access Specialist will:

• Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.

• Verify patient demographic and insurance information during registration.

• Schedule patient appointments and procedures, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Answer patient inquiries regarding registration, insurance coverage, and financial responsibilities.

• Collect co-payments and other patient payments as necessary.

• Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and resolve any registration issues.

• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents.

• Collaborate with other departments to optimize patient care and satisfaction.

• Stay updated on insurance regulations, healthcare policies, and industry trends.

  Requirements

In addition to the above-stated duties, the Patient Access Specialist must hold the following skills:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D

• Minimum 1 year experience in healthcare.
