What You’ll Do
The Inclusive Communities Experiences (ICX) team is searching for Program Manager to support our Employee Resource Organizations and Networks, both vertically for two Global EROs, and horizontally across APJC for all EROs/ERNs. A deep partnership with both the PRIDE (LGBTQ+ & Allies) global community and CDAN (Cisco Disability Action Network) will be core to day-to-day responsibilities. The role is holistic, central program support to these communities, supporting and advising them on growth, globalization, alignment to other ERO’s and networks (intersectionality), strategic and annual planning, events, community impact, business impact, succession planning, securing executive sponsors, communications, and providing infrastructure & process support (membership management & reporting, budget, etc). Additionally, advocating for and being a point of contact and expertise for all communities across APJC is critical as our EROs/ERNs globalize, chapters expand, and cross-community learnings unfold.
Who You'll Work With
Beyond the global & regional communities you’ll be supporting day to day, you’ll be a direct part of the Inclusive Communities Experience team, which is a part of the Inclusive Future & Strategy (IFS) team within People and Communities. Our immediate team is close-knit and bound by a common purpose of advancing communities within Cisco. We sit in all geographies, and are rewarded daily by the opportunity to dedicate our full roles to the advancement of an inclusive culture at Cisco. We work outside the binds of traditional processes and roles, mobilize quickly and work toward a larger, shared purpose. You will have regular and collaborative interactions with stakeholders within People and Communities, key business leaders, community leaders.
Who You Are
This role for a self-starter, someone who is able to see and help shape the larger community strategy while working to execute key elements thru systems, tool and processes to:
Become a trusted advisor, aligning closely with ERO Global Leaders and Executive Sponsors to support community strategy development and execution & maximize community impact
For APJC region, country, and sites … oversee all efforts related to inclusive communities, enabling cross-community engagements among EROs and ERNs
Champion Cisco’s accessibility efforts across APJC, from a platform of deep knowledge of our strategy and action plans
Actively participate at regional and global community meetings, events, and community digital forums
Partner with leads and exec sponsors on annual strategy / plan and funding forecast
Provide oversight and support the planning of global PRIDE & CDAN experiences, and cross-community APJC regional experiences
Help build strategies on expanding adoption of I&C initiatives for function through our inclusive communities within APJC
Stay informed of inclusive community member emails alias/Webex rooms/SharePoint sites that offer insights for community members and regional sentiments
Raise visibility of community efforts by creating CEC/Blog content related to APJC Inclusive Community events, stories, and outcomes in partnership with IFS and corporate communications teams
Create executive briefing documents pre/post events and track outcomes
Qualifications & Skills
Required
Background (5+ years) in diversity and inclusion and/or community management
Fluency in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging solutions
Ability to navigate challenging conversations, with focus on advocacy of the LGBTQ+ community
Depth of experience in disability community, to champion the advancement of accessibility across APJC & Cisco globally
Comfortable in working fast paced environments and able to prioritize critical work
Solid organizational & program management skills: ability to focus and make progress towards both short term goals and long-term objectives of ICX (Inclusive Community Experience) team
Strong oral presentation skills to communicate with program stakeholders at all levels
Relationship builder and ability to influence
Willingness to grow with the team and tackle administrative tasks as required
Preferred
BA/BS degree
SharePoint, social media, content creation skills
Strong skills in Powerpoint and Excel
