Abiomed Europe GmbH, Johnson & Johnson MedTech is recruiting for a Clinical Education Program Manager (w/m/d) , supporting and based in EMEA.

The Critical Care Education Program Manager will serve as a clinical and product expert, focusing on the planning, delivery, and monitoring of training programs and content aimed at nurses, perfusionists, VAD & ECMO Coordinators, and Advanced Practice Nurses.

The goal of this role is to build content, programs, and trainings to increase the clinical expertise of nurses who care for patients with Impella heart pumps. Job responsibilities will include crafting and implementing strategic nurse- and perfusionist-focused training programs, nursing outreach, relationship management with nursing and perfusionist regulatory and accreditation bodies, including continuing education points, and supporting the Abiomed field team with nursing events. Travel is required for some trainings and field activities (25%).

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute nurse-focused training programs, such as the Impella Clinical Nurse Specialist program, to enhance the clinical expertise based on best practice standards, considering regulatory requirements, and organizational needs.

• Create a strategic education program, reflecting different country and market needs, reflecting target groups and different needs (i.e. continuing education credits, Associations, etc.)

• Adapt global content into market and language needs, based on current regulatory approvals in each country.

• Support the Abiomed team with designing large-scale nursing educational events, trade shows, association events.

• Conduct nursing outreach through strategic business objectives including social media presence together with Marketing.

• Develop content, curricula, and strategy for online learning platforms (Abiomed Academy & Impella App).

• Create and maintain clinical and product-related content used for training nurses, perfusionists, etc., to be used by the field team in their education activities.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education

• Nursing or perfusionist degree required (degree required, advanced degree preferred).

• Cardiology experience required (ICU/CCU/CVICU, Cath Lab, CVOR, EP, etc.). ICU experience preferred.

• Proven expertise with Impella heart pumps and other Abiomed devices.

• Passion for training and education and be recognized as a “clinical expert”.

• Previous education or preceptor experience preferred including classroom-based (in-person and/or virtual), field- based, and/or simulation-based teaching expertise.

• Instructional design and curriculum development experience preferred.

• Must have strong project management skills.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

• Must demonstrate the ability to lead and motivate in international audience of healthcare professionals.

• Must be self-motivated, flexible, take initiative, goal-oriented, open-minded, great teammate, and exercise independent judgment.

• Strong communication skills to discuss products and therapy in an academic environment.

• Experience in collaboration across departments (Marketing, Sales, Training, Physician Education, tc.).

• Fluent in English & German, further languages are a plus.

• Requires 25% travel for some trainings and activities.

Preferred:

• Experience in medical device, biopharma, healthcare, or another regulated field is a plus.
