Robert Half Staff Accountant in North Quincy, Massachusetts

Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team in the property management industry, located in North Quincy, Massachusetts. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. The successful candidate will be involved in various accounting tasks, dealing with tenants' financial information, working with specific property management software, and participating in monthly submission processes.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize your strong math skills to work with tenants' financial information, which will be used to calculate their rent and amount eligible for subsidy.

• Familiarize yourself with annual recertification processes and assist in meeting with tenants to obtain their financial information.

• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.

• Use the Real Page rental software and OneSite to facilitate various property management tasks.

• Take part in the monthly submission process to reconcile the voucher, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.

• Collaborate with the team during annual inspections by Mass Housing to ensure compliance with property standards.

• Provide supportive housing recertification as needed to ensure tenant eligibility and compliance.

• Utilize your knowledge of HUD and property accounting to maintain accurate financial records.

• Collaborate with the property management team to ensure smooth operations and high levels of tenant satisfaction. Requirements • Possess skills in Bank Reconciliations

• Proficiency in using OneSite software

• Experience in Precertification processes

• Knowledge of Supportive Housing Recertification procedures

• Understanding and experience in HUD regulations

• Familiarity with Property Management Software

• Proficiency in Property Accounting

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Detail-oriented and able to work with high levels of accuracy

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Experience in a similar role would be advantageous

• Professional certification such as CPA is desirable but not mandatory.
