Charter Care Health Partners Coordinator, Education in North Providence, Rhode Island

Summary: This position responsible for all administrative and operational functions of the Office of the Academic Enrollment Coordinator and support the CCHP department of education, including reports to the US Department of Education (USDOE), RI Council on Postsecondary Education, the RI Board of Nursing, and the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).

Under limited supervision, the Education Coordinator ensures the integrity, accuracy, and security of all academic records of current and former students; facilitates effective student registration and enrollment for outside clinical rotation including all on boarding of students, maintains up-to-date schedules for the education department, manages efficient use of instructional spaces; supervises and maintains the Populi electronic student management system.

The Educator Coordinator is responsible for the production of official transcripts. Participates in processes related to Healthstream; maintaining of orientation packets; assisting with scheduling of weekly meeting between educators, orientee, preceptor and unit manager. Maintains historical records of students/orientees, classes, course offerings, and pertinent statistical data for outside agencies.

Education: Associate or baccalaureate degree preferred.

Experience: 3 - 5 years’ experience in an administrative assistant position, preferably with a background in academic setting.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, students and other departments.

  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.

  • Knowledge of general office procedures.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Publisher, and Outlook.

  • Skill in organization and priority setting.

  • High degree of accuracy and detail-oriented.

  • Prior administrative responsibility for on boarding of clinical students, and student records in a higher education institution strongly preferred.

  • Experience with the student information systems, Populi.

    Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements : Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 50% of the work period while operating equipment such as computer keyboard, mouse, and other office machines. Requires prolonged sitting and occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, lifting, standing, walking and reaching. Duties involve lifting or moving materials weighing more than 10 lbs. on an occasional basis.
