Job Overview: The Collections Specialist is responsible for managing and resolving overdue accounts to ensure timely payments and maintain positive relationships with customers. This role involves contacting customers, negotiating payment plans, and working closely with internal teams to address billing issues. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, problem-solving skills, and a keen attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contact customers to remind them of overdue payments through phone, email, or mail.

• Negotiate payment plans and terms with customers to settle outstanding debts.

• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, disputes, or other billing issues.

• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all communications and transactions.

• Monitor aging reports to track overdue accounts and update management on collection progress.

• Coordinate with internal departments such as finance and customer service to resolve issues related to invoicing, payment applications, or account status.

• Recommend accounts for further action, such as legal proceedings or write-offs, when necessary.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and applicable laws regarding debt collection.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a similar role.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

• Familiarity with financial processes, credit policies, and collection regulations.

• Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., CRM systems, accounting software).

• Ability to handle difficult situations professionally and with diplomacy.
