Safe Foods Process Engineer in North Little Rock, Arkansas

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Process Engineer manages the technology, equipment, and procedures used to produce the company's chemical products and will be the technical expert for day-to-day operations.

· Advocate for safe operation of our facilities.

· Provide day-to-day chemical manufacturing support and technical assistance that involves troubleshooting, identifying, and providing solutions for root causes of operational problems using knowledge of chemical processing and data analysis.

· Make improvements to process knowledge and troubleshooting skills of operating and maintenance personnel.

· Assist with production planning, execution, and raw material forecasting as well as budgeting and cost tracking.

· Provide instructions for ensuring equipment is safely prepared for maintenance work and issue lock-out/tag-out checklists for maintenance work.

· Develop, propose, and implement approved process improvement projects through collaboration with other key personnel.

· Apply sound process economic analysis principles to determine and document project values.

· Lead and coordinate the design, implementation, and support of new processes

· Write operating procedures for new products, and continually maintain & improve existing procedures.

· Maintain accurate P&IDs.

· Assist with programming development for new processes and improvement of existing automation.

· Work in teams or independently to increase production capacity, improve product yield, provide safer operations, and reduce energy requirements.

· Manage several projects simultaneously and effectively communicate progress to stakeholders on a regular basis.

· Perform other job duties as assigned.

YOUR MUST HAVES:

· Must be 18 years of age or older.

· Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline from an ABET accredited engineering school.

· 2 years’ related experience.

WHAT WE PREFER YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in specifically, chemical engineering from an ABET accredited engineering school.

OUR ENVIRONMENT:

Periodic standing, setting, pushing, pulling, carrying or lifting can be required. Personal Protective Equipment (“PPE”) must be worn in applicable setting.
