As a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day service, maintenance, and upkeep of the fleet equipment locations. You will help manage assignments for fleet mechanics, fuelers, utility employees, and/or third-party resources. You will also help oversee all repairs of fleet equipment.

Job Description

• Location: Houston, TX

• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 am to 5 pm CST ( availability after hours as needed )

You Will Contribute By

• Supervising the daily maintenance and repair needs for fleet equipment.

• Overseeing on-site third-party repairs – coordinating repairs, inspecting work performed, and meeting safety expectations.

• Reviewing and planning for day-to-day fleet equipment needs.

• Upkeep of fleet equipment and maintenance.

• Controlling expenses for parts, labor, outside labor, and tires for fleet and warehouse facilities.

• Responsibiilty for job assignments, productivity expectations and measurement, disciplinary actions, and training of employees and/or oversight of similar professional standards for third parties.

• Maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring all safety and industry regulations are followed.

• Knowledge of an automated Fleet Management Information System and MS Office.

• Working within OSHA standards.

• Responsibility for maintaining a 7-day work schedule for all shifts and/or managing third-party maintenance schedules to accommodate business needs.

• Supporting other duties as assigned.

• Participation in annual performance appraisals. This will include shift productivity, repair quality, shop safety audits, repair documentation, employee development, shop organization and cleanliness, preventive maintenance standards and goals, and safety training for all maintenance employees. Other areas may be included or added as business needs warrant.

We're Looking for Candidates With

• Five or more years of Fleet Supervisory experience.

• Working knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations.

• The ability to multi-task to manage time and effectively meet all specified and implied deadlines.

• Strong employee relations skills and the ability to lead and supervise a team

• The ability to react to problems and come up with solutions quickly

• Strong interpersonal skills, as this position will interact with other company employees, departments, and vendors.

• Strong negotiating skills.

• Ability to work with other departments for problem-solving
