As the MRI Technologist you will

perform basic and complex MR imaging procedures as well as post-processing

responsibilities. This will require an in-depth understanding of human

cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology and medical terminology.

You will be required to maintain a high degree of accuracy in patient

positioning and image acquisition/formation. You will also need to apply your

knowledge of magnetic field safety and properly screen all patients and

visitors prior to admittance into the MR magnet room. You will:

  • Ensure accurate processing of radiology orders

  • Maintain accurate up-to-date records of procedures performed

  • Operate a variety of post-processing/3D workstations

  • Perform accurate image archival

  • Prepare and administer paramagnetic contrast media

  • Sensitively handle physical and emotional needs of the patient

Salary

Range: $49.73 - $65.56 Hourly

Qualifications

  • Licenses

  • ARRT, CRT - required. MR certificate required

OR

  • ARRT, ARMRIT (MR) - required

  • Venipuncture certificate - required

  • BCLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross - required

  • Graduate from a AMA Radiologic Technologist Program - required

  • AA or BS - preferred

  • At least 1 year of MRI experience - preferred

  • Siemens experience - preferred

  • Ability to adapt to advancements and changing technologies

  • Ability to identify contraindications for exams

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and independent decision-making skills

  • Familiarity with clinical billing (IDX codes)

  • Knowledge of human anatomy and pathology

  • Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities
