•Parker Aerospace Fluid Systems Division – The North Hollywood, Californiasite was established in 1947 and acquired by Meggitt in 1999 and by Parker Hannifin Aerospace in 2021. In 2019, the facility was designated as Meggitt’s Machining Center of Excellence, with state-of-the-art multi-axis milling, turning, and additive layer manufacturing equipment.

•Parker Meggitt Fluid Systems Division – North Hollywood, Californiamanufacturing features an upgraded 110k square foot, world-class manufacturing and testing facility. The facility has been designated as a Machining Center of Excellence within the Parker Meggitt group with recent additions of state-of-the-art multi-axis milling, turning, and additive layer manufacturing equipment. We also have testing capabilities for fluid and pneumatic valves that can duplicate the high temperatures, pressures, and flow rates of modern aircraft systems. With our in-house design and development capabilities and with our growing product portfolio we are in a leadership position for the next generation of high-performance aircraft engines and airframes.

•Parker Meggitt Fluid Systems Division – North Hollywood, Californiafacility designs and manufactures valves and controls that regulate the flow of air and fluids under pressure and high temperatures. Its pneumatic and fluid control lines include fuel, mixing, and starter valves, air-oil separators, and solenoid valves used in commercial and military aircraft and aero engines. Industrial offerings provide fuel and bleed-air control valves and ground fueling products for power generation and mechanical drives.

POSITION SUMMARY:

• The Manufacturing Operation Manager overall responsibility for factory P&L, production performance, costs, and quality within the value stream.

• Strategically develop, implement, and manage long-term and short-term production plans in alignment with corporate strategy.

• Demonstrated experience in Operations transformation, KPI deployment and continuous improvement (CI).

• Drive initiatives for the value stream as it pertains to High Performance System (HPS), Safety (EH&S), HR and other key areas.

• Directly and indirectly manage production and functional employees dedicated to the focus factory such as: quality, engineering, continuous improvement, and planning & procurement .

• Collaborates with key stakeholders to meet deliverables and resolve production challenges.

• Analyze production data for capacity planning, barriers, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

• Drive daily KPI standup meetings and serve as a point of escalation for resolution of production issues.

• Execute continuous improvement tools and procedures within the value stream to minimize process variation, execute standard work and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Drive a safety culture through education and adherence of EH&S guidelines and company standards.

• Manage staff selection, performance, coaching and development and collaborates with HR on people planning, utilization, development, and employee relations situations.

• Is an ambassador and facilitator of High Performance Culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead, plan and direct site operations to ensure delivery of operational results in terms of delivery, quality, cost and inventory.

• Ensures effective utilisation of production resources and drives productivity improvements, and deployment of functional processes at the site, leads and fascilitates Continuous Improvement.

• Manage staff selection, performance and development to ensure requisite competencies and capabilities, and oversee professional development of functional personnel at the site.

• Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with relevant legislation and Company requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree is required

EXPERIENCE:

• A solid understanding of capacity planning and management, including Materials Requirements Planning (MRP), work scheduling techniques and inventory management (SAP experience a plus)

• A solid understanding of LEAN production management.

• Demonstrated experience of leading Kaizen events

• Strong people management and team leadership skills including delegation, training, maintaining a coaching mindset and evaluating performance

• A solid understanding of HSE principles

• A solid understanding of problem solving techniques, such as 8 Disciplines of Problem Solving (8D), Ishikawa/Fish-bone diagraming, Value Stream Mapping, 5-Why, etc.

• A basic understanding of procurement

• A basic understanding of finance principles and their application

• A basic understanding of strategic manufacturing issues, such as impact of volume, variety and lead time and process layout options

WORK AUTHORIZATION:This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements; therefore, a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. U.S. Citizenship/Permanent Resident is required for most positions.

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. The budget base salary range: $125K - $135K plus ACIP – 12.5% (Annual Cash Incenstive Plan Bonus)
