Position:Maintenance Worker

Status:Full Time/Non-Exempt (40hrs/wk)

Monday through Friday and Saturday

Job Location: North Hills/ San Fernando Valley

*Able to travel between all MCCN Clinic sites, as deemed necessary

We are looking for a Maintenance Worker to take care of our building and carry out cleaning, maintenance and security duties. The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance:
• Makes minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical and plumbing repairs.
• Performs touch up and finish painting.
• Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs
• Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc.
• Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
• Install appliances and equipment
• Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations
• Report to a facilities or maintenance manager for issues
• Sets up and tears down chairs, tables and equipment in meeting rooms, and function rooms
• Picks up and delivers supplies and materials to department and/or various MCCN Clinic locations.
• Follows all applicable safety rules and procedures.
• Other duties assigned as necessary.

Janitorial:

• General janitorial a must, experienced in cleaning common areas
• Keeps premises of the clinic buildings clean orderly, will clean hallways, lobbies, lunch rooms, offices, lab/medical area, patient/exam area, restrooms and other work areas
• Floor care: cleans, sweeps, mops all floors
• Surface care: dusting, sanitizing, glass/mirror/window cleaning
• Waste Removal: empty trash throughout the building: bathroom, exam rooms, offices, patient waiting area, etc
• Hallways and Entryway: Sweep and/or mop; wipe off tables; dust horizontal surfaces; wash windows
• Bathrooms: Sweep and mop; clean tile walls and floors; clean toilets, toilet seats and urinals; empty trash bin and replace liner; wash shower stall doors; clean mirrors; clean windows and sills; stock toilet stalls toilet paper dispensers.
• General: Empty trash throughout the building. Sweep and clean paper and debris from exterior areas around perimeter of community.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies
• Gardening (front and back of the clinics), trimming of trees and cleaning
• Other duties assigned as deemed necessary

Skills

• 2 years working experience as Maintenance
• Own basic maintenance/janitorial tools, a plus
• hand tools, pliers, drills, hammer, wrenches, etc
• Current California Driver License with Good Driving Record
• Own Truck, preferred
• Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
• Integrity and ability to work independently
