Job Description

For large projects with multiple systems, the Global SAP Application Architect is responsible for aligning technology solutions with business strategies, working primarily with management and technical specialists across functional disciplines. Supports the application and technical specialists in the multi-system application architecture and has a thorough understanding of available technology, tools and existing designs for the applications involved and the impact upon each other.

In this role you’ll be responsible for:

  • Establishing and maintaining high-quality relationships with all levels across the company and with external partners.

  • Operating within well-defined expectations.

Tools and skills you will use in this role:

  • Demonstrable end-to-end business process knowledge in Order to Cash processes (sales and distribution as well as intercompany), Service Management, Materials Management, Plant Maintenance, In-House Repairs, and Field Service.

  • Expert level knowledge in SAP sales and distribution module covering order management, pricing, master data, Consignment process, Warranty, Service contracts & Orders, Serialized Product Management, Equipment master, customer invoicing, accounts receivable, contract management, customer returns, customer credit management, collection etc.

  • Expert level knowledge of handling integrations with supply chain and finance areas.

  • Expertise in handling interfaces with various systems (both internal and external to organization) like customer orders, invoices, ASNs etc.

  • Hands on Knowledge of SAP Fiori Application and Ability to architect solution using SAP Fiori is must.

  • Understanding of CDS View and SAP Data modelling to enable visualization using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

  • Ability to provide cross-functional design and support organization technical capabilities like Control Tower, Data Marketplace, and API Platform.

  • Exposure of handling IDocs (EDI), SAP API Integration for E-Commerce & Internal Sites, background job (using Autosys), SAP system life cycle (SLC), documentation (in Solution Manager), testing (Confluence & JIRA).

  • Significant experience and success in working in a business centric, complex, progressive, multi-stakeholder, matrix environment, with at least five in a product development role.

  • Reviewing and providing feedback to improve support metrics such as SLA, Average Ticket Resolution Time, Number of Interactions per Ticket, Issue Resolution Rate, and Customer Satisfaction.

Qualifications

Experiences that make you a strong candidate for this role:

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree with 8 years’ experience; master’s degree with 7 years’ experience; PhD with 3 years’ experience.

  • 5+ years hands on SAP SD configuration and implementation

  • 3+ years of experience as an Architect

  • Experience is running large project blueprinting and requirement gathering workshops independently.

  • Experience as Functional Architect with SAP S4HANA.

  • Cross functional knowledge in SAP SD Integration to FI, Logistics, MM and GTS (Global Trade).

  • Integration experience with SAP CRM and Salesforce system (B2B / B2C) using APIs.

  • Knowledge of SAP Intercompany and E-Invoicing Integration in countries outside USA.

  • Experience in executing SAP System upgrade for a functional area.

Beneficial

  • Work experience in the Pharmaceutical or Medical Device industry.

  • Experience working on GxP systems.

  • Managing SAP projects and teams; working knowledge of all aspects of the SAP ASAP methodology including Applications, Integration, Data, Security, Change Management, Training, and Communications.

  • Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting Pharmaceutical and Aesthetics Products (e.g., GMP).
