Job Description

The Senior Manager, Procurement Finance works globally and cross-functionally to align on spend and savings targets to drive cost savings opportunities and leads the Days Payable Outstanding (DPO) initiative to improve Working Capital. The Senior Manager interacts with all levels of Finance and Procurement management. This position reports to the Procurement Finance Director within the Operations function.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual Plan, Long Range Plan (LRP) and Latest Best Estimates (LBEs) as required

  • Oversee spend reporting and interpreting impacts on DPO

  • Provide relevant variance analysis for each planning cycle and develop meaningful reporting, ensuring accuracy and predictability of results and key metrics

  • Serve as strategic business partner with Procurement and business Finance ensuring alignment and transparency

  • Coordinate and validate Procurement cost savings programs

  • Collaborate and provide routine business support to enable informed decision-making and represent the team as a spend, savings, and DPO subject matter expert

  • Develop and manage staff (currently two) to ensure production of high quality and timely work product.

  • Support key projects and initiatives (e.g. planning system standardization, management reporting and optimization) and drive process improvements

  • Support ad hoc analysis as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required

  • Minimum 8+ years of progressive and related experience

  • CPA or MBA a plus

  • Strong financial, analytical and problem solving skills

  • Self-starter with ability to operate independently, drive processes, identify and implement process improvements, establish and adjust priorities to achieve objectives and operate with speed and agility

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with all levels of management and including the ability to listen well and to influence others that do not report directly

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize work

  • Proficient Excel skills

  • Knowledge of SAP

  • Previous supervisory experience desired
