KBR is seeking a Proposal Coordinator for the Defense Systems Engineering (DSE) business unit. DSE provides full spectrum engineering and technical solutions across the lifecycle of DoD military systems on land, at sea, in the air, and in space. Areas of expertise include acquisition, systems engineering and integration, AI/big data applications, cyber, R&D, T&E, C4ISR, and sustainment engineering.

This is a Remote position, U.S. only.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Works with multiple functional and operational personnel in a deadline driven environment to develop compliant, winning proposals in response to government requests for proposals (RFP).

  • Coordinates the requirements of many proposals/proposal teams simultaneously, while also acting as the lead for subcontract proposals and the assistant to the proposal manager on prime proposals.

  • Works with business development capture managers to create teams with other companies.

  • Searches SAM.gov and other sites and works with internal company personnel to obtain RFP documents.

  • Reviews and interprets RFP requirements and understands the proposal process. Prepares compliance matrices as needed. Works independently or with the proposal manager to guide the technical team toward successful proposal completion.

  • Maintains configuration management (CM) of documentation and access to our SharePoint based proposal management tool.

  • Coordinates and maintains CM of all data calls for both prime and subcontractor proposals.

  • Works with the proposal manager and capture manager to identify color team reviewers. May submit and track invites to confirm color team reviewer availability.

  • Builds response templates as well as edits and formats proposal documents for compliance with company styles and RFP requirements.

  • Responsible for maintaining graphics CM and working with graphics artist. May also insert graphics into the proposal.

  • Assists proposal manager with administrative tasks, meeting logistics, and color reviews

  • Assists with the formatting, editing, and proofing of proposal documents as needed to ensure compliance with company styles and solicitation requirements

  • Assists with finalization (white glove), production, and submission of proposal.

  • Participates in white glove review and production of final product for submittal.

    Basic Qualifications:

    Required Education/Experience:

  • BA/BS degree plus 2 years of DOD contractor experience required. Six years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

  • Experience in a government contracting environment, including working knowledge of the government contracting process

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with proposal development is preferred

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong customer service orientation

  • Excellent written communication skills

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Word editing (e.g. formatting, style application, table of contents, etc.)

  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Teams, as well as Adobe Acrobat.

  • Ability to lead a team during subcontracting bids

  • Detail oriented with impeccable organizational skills along with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and support multiple federal proposals simultaneously and on schedule.

  • Willingness to flex work schedule to meet proposal objectives

  • Interest in continual skill development

Basic Compensation:

Salary range: $66,500 - $99,800

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
