Description

SAIC is seeking an Electrical Engineer located in North Charleston, SC to support Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) to develop static and dynamic design and analysis of electrical systems, equipment, and packages.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Develop static and dynamic design and analysis of electrical systems, equipment, and packages

• Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs

• Direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication

• Provide design information to drafting for packaging documentation

• Prepare variance documentation as required to address TDP or manufacturing issues

• Review and approve technical deliverables to the government for accuracy, clarity, and recommended acceptance

• Support vendor and sub-contractor variance and or ECP efforts to gain government approval

• Support the generation of reports for engineering studies and investigations relating to identified technical issues impacting the program

• Support the review of drawings and specifications in support of procurement actions to ensure vendors are; properly qualified, responsive, understand the nuances of the product, and have mitigated fabrication risk

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree and two (2)+ years of related experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree

• Must have design experience in designing electrical systems and cabling

• Must have working knowledge of 3D CAD or AutoCAD

• SolidWorks or CREO preferred

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance within 60 days of hire; SAIC will help to obtain

• Must be a current US Citizen
