PDS Tech Commercial, Inc. is seeking dedicated professionals like you to join our dynamic team as an Aircraft Installer/Assembler. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in assembling and installing structural parts, mechanical assemblies, and aircraft systems with precision and expertise.

Job Title: Aircraft Installer/Assembler

Job Type: Full time; Consultant ( 6 months)

Location: North Charleston, SC 29418

Schedule: Monday to Friday; Shifts: 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. Contractors must be available to work all 3 shifts. Shifts are dependent on Business needs.

Pay Rate: $ 29.30 to $39.14 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Install various parts and assemblies such as landing gear, aircraft control surfaces, exterior panels, carpets, blankets, roller trays/ball mats, stowbins, sidewalls, ceiling panels, lavatories, galleys, doors, and seats.

  • Assemble various aircraft system components including tubing, valves, regulators, actuators, compressors, and ducts.

  • Wear appropriate protective clothing and equipment as required by the task.

  • Operate mechanical lifts (e.g., ladders, tiger and snorkel lifts) safely and efficiently.

  • Utilize a variety of tools such as rivet guns, bucking bars, screwdrivers, lock bolt pullers, power screwdrivers, C-squeezes, ratchet wrenches, nut runners, Winslow tools, 90-Degree Power Vane, Quackenbush tools, and other hand tools.

  • Apply chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints, and special finishes as specified.

  • Inspect work for quality and ensure compliance with Foreign Object Debris (FOD) standards.

  • Use high impact vibratory tools for tasks such as bucking and riveting.

  • Perform tasks involving climbing, balancing, crawling, crouching, kneeling, bending, reaching (overhead), rotating head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist, walking, and finger manipulation (e.g., keyboarding).

  • Read and interpret instructions from computer screens, printed drawings, and documents.

  • Adhere strictly to safety standards and regulatory compliance.

  • Utilize a computer in a production environment to access and comprehend technical work instructions, drawings, and specifications.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • High School diploma/GED.

  • 7+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing.

  • 7+ years of aerospace systems experience with hydraulics, ICS, PECS, duct installation, IFE, interior decorative repair, waste, and potable water systems.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Aviation experience or completed aviation degrees.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 10-35 pounds.

  • Flexibility in physical movements such as bending, kneeling, and climbing.

  • Exposure to noise and working around energized sources (electrical equipment).

  • Comfort working in confined spaces and using personal safety gear as required.

Note: This position requires the ability to work variable shifts and demonstrates strong communication skills, work ethic, and a sense of urgency to complete assigned tasks.

Pay Details: $29.30 to $39.14 per hour
