What You Will Do

Job Summary:

Provides technical leadership across the company’s Enterprise Infrastructure. Supports key project driven initiatives, as well as operational tasks to maintain a secure, reliable infrastructure environment. Provides leadership and direction for the Architecture, Design, Maintenance, and 3rd Level Support of a 24 x 7 infrastructure including servers, operating systems, storage, networks, and telecommunication systems.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides expert oversight of services to ensure consistent delivery and performance of the company’s complex corporate data and voice infrastructure.

  • Designs, administers, and supports all areas of the infrastructure environment.

  • Manages and coordinates scheduling and execution of system maintenance, release updates, upgrades, and/or new technology deployments adhering to company’s standard change management protocol.

  • Effectively complete complex projects and installations within aggressive times and budget parameters

  • Creates a culture of collaboration with key stakeholders and service providers. Assists in keeping the team’s knowledge of our technology landscape current.

  • Collaborates with project managers to create and update project plans, Coordinates efforts and resources on projects, as necessary.

  • Actively researches infrastructure advancements and makes recommendations for the continuous improvement and scalability of the company’s infrastructure.

  • Designs and develops the architecture of infrastructure solutions.

  • Collaborates closely with Peers to improve workflow processes & communication.

  • Supports the enforcement of enterprise security.

  • Maintains and tests disaster recovery plans for systems and services.

  • Provides emergency after-hours support as part of a scheduled on-call rotation.

  • Provides periodic after-hours support for scheduled maintenance activities.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Minimum Qualifications :

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline or High School Diploma / GED and 9+ years IT infrastructure work experience.

  • Minimum 5+ years IT infrastructure management and support experience.

  • Minimum 2+ years infrastructure solution design experience especially in large, distributed environments involving n tier architecture infrastructures.

  • Experience in performing capacity planning for physical and virtual application hosting infrastructure.

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

Knowledge of:

  • Operating systems including Windows, Linux/Unix/AIX

  • Database technologies such as Oracle/SQL Server/DB2

  • Understanding of virtual networking constructs Cloud and Hybrid architecture

  • General networking, virtualization, storage, and operating system concepts.

  • Microsoft Azure Cloud Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and Platform as a service (PaaS) technology.

  • Virtualization technologies, including VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V design, installation, and management.

  • Cisco networking equipment including reference architectures for data center, branch, campus, and security.

Skilled in:

  • Verbal and written communication in English

  • Attention to detail

  • Effective time and task management, with multi-tasking capabilities

  • Driving results, strong problem-solving, influencing, consensus building and negotiating skills.

  • Ability to manage key relationships with internal IS and business stakeholders

Ability to:

  • Plan, organize, prioritize, and manage projects or work independently

  • Maintain effective working relationships

  • Demonstrate critical thinking

  • Work with diverse populations and varying education levels

  • Prioritize assignments, workload, and manage time accordingly

Licenses, Registration, Certifications, or Special Requirements :

  • Actively possess one or more of the following IT infrastructure certifications:

  • Microsoft, MCP, Office 365, Azure, Exchange Online

  • Cisco CCNA

  • Linux/Unix/AIX

Work Environment and Physical Demand

  • Requires light physical effort. Occasionally lifts or moves light objects (under 10 lbs.).

  • Walks, sits, or stands for prolonged periods.

  • Requires prolonged machine operation including computer and keyboard equipment.
