Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland & East Central Ohio is hiring a full-time Box Truck Driver for their North Canton warehouse.

In this role, you will drive agency vehicles helping transport materials to and from donation centers and retail stores.

  Requirements:

• Two years of previous box truck driving experience

• Tow Motor Certification preferred

• Valid drivers license

  Essential Functions:

• Drives to collect and transport materials from specified areas to the worksite.

• Drives over predetermined routes to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and road s in the area

• Completes manifest on the table t after each pickup and delivery.

• Maintains schedule indicating arrival and departure.

• H elps on the dock whenever needed.

• Manually loads truck and arranges articles to form a compact load.

• Inspects vehicle equipment and supplies before commencing the day's activities and reports any malfunctions of trucks or equipment to the supervisor, to ensure safe working conditions.

• Operates vehicle safely, and a dheres to all agency safety/security policies, procedures, and practices.

• Keeps the dock clean and orderly.

• Loads and unloads material from vehicles and sorts in a prescribed manner . Transport to shipping and receiving area . Keeps dock area orderly . Occasionally bales/loads of salvage and cardboard onto trucks.

• Must ensure the truck is clean at the end of each shift.

• O ther duties as assigned by the supervisor.

  Work Conditions:

• Must comply with DOT physical examination requirements

• A safety-sensitive position requiring drug and alcohol testing upon hire

• Subject to random drug and alcohol testing during employment

• Must be able to perform physical requirements of the position including but not limited to constant sitting, bilateral handling, and key pinch grip; frequent climbing, stooping/bending, and bilateral reaching; occasional standing, walking, balancing, crouching/squatting and kneeling; frequent talking in-person/public and hearing; good visual acuity is required; be able to lift/carry up to 51-100 lbs. a distance of up to 10 feet; occasionally push/pull up to 50 lbs. at varying distances
