The Revenue Management team is responsible for creating a revenue strategy for Upscale and above brands as well as providing for hire revenue management services to participating hotels within Upscale and Extended stay Revenue Optimization Consulting Services (ROCS) program.

As a member of the Revenue Management leadership team, the candidate will provide thought leadership and work the Upscale and Extended Stay brand teams to create a revenue strategy in line with short-term and long-term brand goals, while coordinating with the brand commercial teams and other center of excellences such as marketing, loyalty, etc. to drive in-year performance.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop a vision and mission for the Upscale ROCS team to clearly establish their connectivity to brand and commercial success

  • Develop a short-term and long-term revenue strategy for Upscale and Extended Stay brands

  • Establish clear performance expectations and objectives for each brand and ROCS hotels to maximize revenue while implementing strategies to improve hotel-level performance

  • Develop an ongoing cycle of hotel and portfolio performance reviews, establish portfolio growth and retention strategies, and ensure that the program is attracting, retaining, and engaging high-value and strategic hotels

  • Communicate the value proposition, strategy, and performance of the program regularly to internal and external audiences

Your Experience, Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related revenue management or commercial strategy

  • MBA is preferred

  • At least 10+ years’ experience in revenue management, commercial strategy, and or managing asset performance for hospitality management or development companies

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word

  • Demonstrates key competencies to include strategic mindset, customer focus, and drive for results.

Your Team

This is a leadership role that will report to the Vice President of Revenue Management and Commercial Strategy. You will have 1 to 3 direct report(s), with an extended team of 20+ associates and collaborate with cross functional departments on a regular basis.

Your Work Location

As our Sr. Director of Revenue Management for Upscale and Extended Stay you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art worldwide corporate headquarters in North Bethesda, MD. Less than 15 miles from Washington, DC, we’re located one block away from the North Bethesda Metro station, with service on the Red Line and the MARC Brunswick line, easy access to I-270, and plenty of free parking provided by Choice Hotels.

Right now, our associates in corporate headquarters are working in a hybrid environment, up to 4 days per week in the office and virtually from your home office the remaining days. We provide flexibility and encourage ongoing communication with your leadership to establish expectations about your unique needs.
