The North Berwick Engineering Center (NBEC) organization is responsible for engineering activities for hardware throughout the gas turbine including the Fan/Low Pressure Compressor, High Pressure Compressor, Combustor, Low Pressure Turbine, High Pressure turbine and Mechanical System modules across all of Pratt & Whitney's military and commercial products. NBEC is co-located with Pratt & Whitney’s largest manufacturing facility. This specific opportunity is to participate with our team of military and commercial turbine component designers.

What You Will Do

• Design assemblies and components to support new engine programs and improve current products.

• Execute engineering calculations throughout concept, preliminary, and final design phases.

• Work closely with manufacturing operations to ensure producible part designs.

• Work closely with manufacturing operations to disposition non-conforming material.

• Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to ensure success of product designs and engineering changes.

• Review engine run hardware for key insights and validation.

• Ensure compliance to Pratt and Whitney's Engineering Standard Work.

  Qualifications You Must Have

• Enrolled in a degree program in Engineering or a related field

• Minimum GPA of 3.0

• Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship

  Qualifications We Prefer

• Preferred majors include Mechanical Design, Aerospace, or a related field

• Understanding of manufacturing processes, aerospace design methods and procedures, and continuous improvement tools.

• Experience communicating clear and effective messages to a broad audience.

• Ability to problem solve and to work in multi-functional teams

What is my role type?

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
