• 4+ year experience Shipfitter

• Layout, fabricate, and brace metal structural parts such as plates, bulkheads, and frames from blueprints or templates.

• Position parts in the hull of the ship and align them using various tools.

• Mark location of holes for drilling and install temporary fasteners for welding

• Additional duties include preparing molds and templates for nonstandard parts, tack welding clips and brackets, and shaping heavy metal parts using shop machinery
