Emergency Room Registrar

Location: Norfolk, VA

Experience Level: Intermediate

Employment Type: Full-Time / 5 month contract

Salary: $18 per hour

Hours: 1pm - 9:30pm Monday - Friday MUST be available to work rotating weekends and other shifts as necessary

Job Description:

Responsible for providing quality patient experience. Facilitate the registration process and ensure each patient has the necessary paperwork and information needed. You are the first impression of the company, so personality and professionalism are a MUST! You will be working in an emergency room, assisting patients with various ailments and emergencies.

A Day in the Role:

· Greet every patient with a kind and welcoming manner

· Check patients in and f acilitate patient registration

· Obtain patient date of birth and basic demographic info

· Verify insurance and check active policy

· Collect copayments and any additional information needed for insurance purposes

· Complete bedside registration, using a mobile EMR system
