Job Title: Facilities Technician 3

Job Description

Summary: The main function of a Facilities Technician is to provide general maintenance support for the assigned buildings.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the facility to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.

  • Troubleshoot power, HVAC system and controls, and mechanical systems.

  • Maintain general and preventative maintenance, carpentry, plumbing systems, and vendor management.

  • Replace lighting system bulbs and ballasts as needed.

  • Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested.

Essential Skills

  • Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

  • Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.

  • Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • 5-7 years of commercial facilities maintenance experience.

Work Environment

The work environment involves maintaining various facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
