Insight Global EQOL Technician in Norfolk, Virginia

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an EQOL technician to support of our largest federal clients in Norfolk, VA. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration components of the laundry, galley, and scullery systems aboard Naval vessels. This candidate will be responsible for maintaining the habitability of naval vessels and ensuring the sailors are equipped with knowledge to maintain that same equipment while underway. This candidate will need to possess a minimum of 3 years related experience and be able to work fully on site in Norfolk, VA during the first shift (6:30am-2:30pm) on Monday-Friday. The compensation range for this role is starting at $20-24 per hour.

Skills and Requirements

  • 3+ years of related Navy or maritime experience

  • Knowledge of laundry equipment (Industrial washer extractors, dryers and laundry presses), scullery equipment to include dishwashers and disposals, steam kettles

  • Knowledge of laundry electrical components associated with Industrial washer extractors and dryers, galley equipment such as ovens, griddles, ventilation systems (Gaylord hoods), and miscellaneous galley equipment (meat slicers, food choppers, skittle cookers, etc.)

  • Safe practices for working with steam operated equipment

  • Refrigeration knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot refrigeration components such as switches and simple relays

  • Troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration equipment using common practices associated with reading a schematic and utilizing various meters - EPA universal certification

  • A basic knowledge of quality assurance practices (work authorization forms, technical work documents, drawings, etc.)

  • Familiarity with US NAVY tag out procedures null
