What Inventory Management contributes to Cardinal Health

Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.

Inventory Management is accountable for the design and execution of demand planning and customer forecasting systems, supply planning, product deployment and expediting processes, and the development and implementation of a stocking optimization model to minimize costs and inventory while delivering on service requirements.

Job Summary

The Lead Coordinator, Inventory Management (Production Lead Hand) is responsible for monitoring the maintenance and process issues and the resolution of those issues on the production floor. The job is responsible for removing barriers to production and suggesting corrective action as necessary. The job is responsible for a significant portion of the production process.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that all machines are calibrated correctly and performs basic troubleshooting.

  • Directs production activities for junior staff.

  • Manages the production process and pro-actively reduces barriers to production goals.

  • Investigates mechanical and non-conformance issues on the production floor.

  • Works with other teams (maintenance, etc.) to resolve issues on the production floor.

  • Applies extensive knowledge and company policies to complete a wide range of assignments

  • Demonstrates expert understanding of all levels of the job family and has thorough knowledge of jobs outside area of responsibility

  • Takes the lead in effectively applying new processes and skills in accomplishing assignments

  • May provide technical guidance and training to others

  • Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications

  • Works on complex problems that require independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issue

  • Makes recommendation for new or revised processes and has a role on the implementation

  • Adheres to all quality guidelines

  • Works with minimal degree of supervision

  • Has latitude to make decisions in exceptional circumstances within established guidelines

  • Provides guidance to less experienced team members

  • May have team leader responsibilities but does not formally supervise

Schedule: Monday - Friday / 7am-3pmm

Anticipated hourly range : $21.50/hourly-$30.70/hourly (includes shift differential)
