ManpowerGroup Maintenance Planner in Norfolk, Nebraska

Job Summary

The Maintenance Planner will report to the Maintenance Manager and coordinate and optimize overhaul and preventive maintenance activities across all production lines. This role will contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the plant's maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive 3-5-year overhaul plan for the facility.

  • Coordinate parts, labor, and timelines for equipment overhauls and rebuild schedules.

  • Enhance the Preventive Maintenance program by identifying opportunities for improvement, developing standardized procedures, and tracking completion rates.

  • Utilize the Capital Asset Management system to maintain accurate records and data.

  • Collaborate with vendors and purchasing to secure cost-effective quotes for plant projects and planned work.

  • Assist in implementing an organized parts storage strategy that aligns with company standards.

  • Provide support to the Maintenance Lead and Inventory Clerk as needed.

  • Develop and implement checklists to ensure thorough job completion.

  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma tools to optimize processes and reduce waste.

  • Plan and schedule maintenance work, including ordering parts and kitting components.

  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for the maintenance department and facility.

  • Monitor and address any overdue preventive maintenance tasks.

  • Create and maintain employee training programs and records.

  • Develop and maintain standard work instructions and procedures.

  • Maintain a comprehensive library of equipment manuals and procedures.

  • Manage quality, food safety, environmental, and regulatory permits related to plant utilities and critical control points (CCPs).

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a maintenance planning role within a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of maintenance planning principles and practices.

  • Proficiency in using computer software applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Knowledge of CMMS systems.

  • Project management certification.
