Job Description

As our new Repair Engineer you will work as part of the global Editron Service team in close cooperation with production, testing and R&D teams. Given your sole responsibility for power electronics devices in Editron Nordborg, you will need to work independently and solve problems effectively.

Your work will be based at our local factory in Nordborg. Travelling is not a major part of this position.

Job Responsibilities

You can look forward to being responsible for failure analysis, repair, and reliability testing of Editron power electronics devices, as well as reporting on these repairs and investigations.

Your main focus will be on performing failure analysis and identifying root causes for electrical equipment issues. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining failure analysis tools and procedures.

Furthermore, some of the key activities will include:

  • Development and maintenance of repair and test tools and procedures in cooperation with the team

  • Creating and updating statistical and product failure reports with conclusions.

  • Development of and conducting reliability testing, for example accelerated lifetime tests and other testing tasks.

  • Presenting the results of product failure reports with conclusions to our R&D team in Finland and to customers.

  • Represent Service in R&D projects

  • Support Operations on analysis and repair topics

Background & Skills

To be considered for this role, you should hold a Bachelor’s degree or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar, combined with some years of relevant experience working with electronics/power electronics. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are essential, as well as fluency in English, both spoken and written.

On a personal level, we are seeking a team-oriented individual with a positive mindset and a strong desire to learn. You should be self-confident and motivated, possessing good communication skills, including proficiency in technical terminology, and the ability to effectively influence stakeholders.
