As our Plant Controller, you will have the opportunity for growth within a global organization by serving as the finance business partner to the plant manager and being a part of the leadership team.

In this role, you will maintain detailed knowledge of all financial and inventory aspects, providing essential financial information about all facility activities. This information will assist management, shareholders, and other stakeholders in making informed economic decisions about the company’s future.

Job Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Plant Controller, as you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial success of our operations. By actively partnering with the business, you will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, and reporting, while also providing strategic insights to drive business performance.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support business decisions.

  • Monitor and analyze key financial metrics, identifying areas to provide guidance to improvement and cost-saving opportunities to the management team.

  • Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and external regulations (incl. KPI reporting, analysis and trends).

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive cost optimization and process improvements, e. g. inventory control.

  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes, contributing to the achievement of financial targets.

  • Ensure effective internal controls and compliance with financial policies and procedures.

  • Set overall plant policies and procedures to ensure effective operations consistent with the Danfoss Business System, values and philosophy.

Furthermore, establishing strong relationships with financial peers and supporting teams within Danfoss will be key, given your sole responsibility for Editron Nordborg

Background & Skills

To be considered for this role, you should have minimum a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, complemented by experience within controlling accounting, financial analysis, and financial management or other relevant areas.

Furthermore, we expect that you to have:

  • Manufacturing accounting background and a solid understanding of financial accounting systems, corporate financial policies, procedures

  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

  • Experience with ERP system

  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel. Familiarity with Power BI is an advantage.

On the personal side, your analytical skills, problem-solving capability, and technical knowledge support you in preparing, analyzing, and understanding financial and operational data.

You also show strategic thinking and business acumen, acting as a business partner who sees the big picture.
