Adecco US, Inc. Sr. Tax Accountant in Norcross, Georgia

Our client, a famous restaurant chain with operations in 25 states, is adding an experienced Sr Tax Accountant to their growing team in NE Atlanta. This role is 100% on-site and reports to the VP of Tax. The Sr Tax Accountant will essentially oversee all tax activities to ensure taxes are prepared and reconciled within regulations. You will determine how new legislation impacts company reporting practices, manage documentation required for audits, and troubleshoot tax issues. In addition, you will monitor all major tax initiatives such as filing returns, evaluating tax reconciliation protocols, and leading quality control analyses. What you’ll do daily:

  • Prepare and file federal, state, and local income tax returns on the corporate and partnership level.

  • Calculate and file estimated quarterly income tax payments.

  • Assess how changes in tax legislation apply to current financial activities of the company.

  • Track tax liabilities to create quality control reports.

  • Support tax and financial audits.

  • Collaborate with leadership to resolve tax issues and tax accounting issues.

  • Consult with outside service providers and local tax authorities to resolve payroll, property, and sales tax issues.

  • Review and report information required under the ACA.

What you need to be successful in this role:

  • 3-5 years of Tax Accounting experience. This person should have a balance of start-to-finish tax filing experience and accounting experience.

  • Must have experience filing taxes for medium / large organizations.

  • Working knowledge of all areas of tax, including but not limited to federal, state, local, and tax accounting is required.

  • Sage and JD Edwards knowledge and experience.

  • 65% of this job includes tasks related to research, prepping documents, and filing corporate tax returns and partnership tax returns.

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Finance or Accounting. CPA is not required but work experience in a CPA firm would be a plus.

  • Personal qualities: Analytical, Strong time management skills, strong customer service skills, independent, advanced Excel skills.

Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
